I am the director of finance and operations for Eames Group. I am based in the London office, supporting all entities and locations within the Group.
Since joining Eames in September 2017, I have successfully improved the processes, timeliness and quality of financial reporting across all four international offices. I've got extensive expertise within the finance and recruitment industry including awareness of the statutory and regulatory environments of Hong Kong and Singapore.
Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1998 with Macintyre Hudson, I continued to progress in my career, serving in finance manager and controller roles in a range of industries; including five years as Financial Controller for UK & Asia with Ambition Group, following two years at the MPS Group where I was European Finance Manager for the Modis brands whilst the group was acquired by Adecco.
āWhat does being an opportunity maker mean to you?
We’re in a position where if we do our job really well, we are able to change people’s lives and also improve the trajectory of our clients. We aren’t going to do that by acting as a transactor between a company advertising a role and a candidate applying for one though, we should be able to understand or diagnose what our clients need and what our candidates want and are capable of and be a trusted advisor, creating opportunities for both.
āWhat Eames value resonates with you the most and why?
Professional Expertise. The difference between Eames and some of the other companies I’ve worked for is that deep specialism and expertise. Clients and candidates in our sectors would be missing out by not working with our people, they will find it really hard to get the same service and access to opportunities elsewhere.
