We are partnered with our client to hire a Network Project Manager on a contractual basis. The role involves overseeing assigned projects and transitions following a structured Project Management Methodology (PMM) that includes Initiation, Planning, Implementation, and Closure. It requires managing end-to-end network services while collaborating with vendors and internal teams on contractual agreements, SLAs, and operational challenges. A strong technical understanding of network technologies such as LAN, WAN, VPN, and Internet routing is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver projects through all PMM stages: Initiation, Define, Organize & Plan, Implement & Control, and Handover & Closure.
- Oversee network service operations, addressing vendor and departmental concerns related to contracts, SLAs, and operations.
- Provide technical expertise in diverse network technologies, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Coordinate with project team members (via matrix reporting) to ensure project success.
- Manage project scope changes and document associated risks and issues.
- Escalate unresolved risks and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Communicate project updates and provide regular reports to stakeholders and management.
- Facilitate resolution of team conflicts and integration issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Submit detailed weekly/monthly project status updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience in a multi-disciplinary environment (e.g., Data Center Operations, Network, Storage, Server, Middleware, or Cloud).
- At least 3 years of experience in Project Management within an IT infrastructure setting.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and technologies, including LAN, WAN, and SDN.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Effective in both independent work and team collaboration.
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or CITPM) are advantageous.
