Overview This Technical Business Analyst will drive process improvement and automation initiatives across our asset management firm. The successful candidate will bridge business needs with technical solutions, streamlining critical workflows from deal origination through operations while ensuring quality delivery through offshore team management, to lead the transformation of our internal processes. In this role, you will analyze, document, and improve workflows across deal origination, trading, investor relations, finance, and operations. You will leverage your understanding of data flows and system architecture to identify automation opportunities, design intuitive interfaces, and implement technical solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Working with both business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams, you will ensure requirements are clearly communicated and solutions are delivered according to specifications. Responsibilities - Process Analysis, Optimization, Integration: - Collaborate with portfolio management, trading, investor relations, and finance teams to understand current workflows and identify inefficiencies
- Map end-to-end data flows across business functions to identify integration opportunities and automation potential
- Map data flows between systems, highlighting dependencies and potential integration points
- Analyze existing systems and processes to recommend improvements that align with business objectives
- Document current and future state processes using business process modeling techniques
- Requirements Definition and Management: - Define detailed business, functional, and technical requirements for system enhancements and automation initiatives
- Define data transformation requirements and validation rules to ensure data integrity
- Provide clear, detailed requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria to offshore development teams
- Work with technical teams to design efficient data models and integration patterns
- Conduct regular reviews of work delivered by offshore teams to ensure alignment with specifications
- Address cultural differences and communication barriers to maintain productive working relationships
- Technical Solution Design - Evaluate automation technologies including RPA, workflow tools, and AI-powered platforms to address business needs
- Design intuitive user interfaces and workflows that enhance user experience
- Create wireframes and prototypes to validate solutions with stakeholders before development
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure technical requirements are incorporated into user-centered designs
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- 7-10 years of business analysis in asset management or financial services
- Knowledge of financial data structures and data integration patterns
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Demonstrated experience documenting complex business processes and technical requirements
- Understanding of investment management workflows including deal origination, trading, and portfolio accounting
- Experience with data flow mapping and system integration in financial applications
- Understanding of database concepts, data modeling techniques, and SQL
- Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI/Tableau a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong Excel and powerpoint skills.
- Customer service oriented with ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
