Compliance Officer/Head of Compliance

Eames Consulting is partnering with a global insurance carrier on a Compliance Officer/Head of Compliance appointment for their newly established Belgian office.

The individual will lead our client's Belgian Compliance function, providing oversight of regulatory risk and establishing fit for purpose procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with Belgian regulators.
• Report on regulatory changes, including identifying potential impact to the business and providing recommendations to ensure the business remains compliant.
• Establish internal processes and controls, identifying areas for improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Internal Audit to ensure effective risk management is maintained.

Key Requirements:

• Fluent in Dutch and / or French (verbal and written).
• Certified Compliance Officer admitted into the Belgian regulators (NBB and FSMA).
• Thorough understanding of Belgian compliance landscape.
• Prior experience dealing with Belgian regulators.
