Head of Credit

My Client is looking for a dynamic Head of Credit Risk to define and steer credit strategies across Personal and SME Lending portfolios. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensuring their lending solutions are innovative, customer-focused, and aligned with our digital evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement credit strategies for Personal & SME portfolios, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk appetite.
• Establish and update credit policies to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Oversee loan portfolios using data-driven insights and advanced analytics.
• Partner with business and product teams to craft and launch creative credit solutions tailored to market needs.
• Utilize digital tools and AI to enhance decision-making processes and boost operational efficiency.
• Guide and build a high-performing credit team, promoting a culture of excellence.
• Forge strong connections with internal stakeholders, regulators, and industry partners to support our credit initiatives.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in credit risk or lending within the banking sector.
• Strong background in digital banking, with a preference for experience in AI and data technologies.
• Proven leadership abilities, focusing on team development and collaboration.
• Solid expertise in credit risk metrics and modeling techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Hong Kong market and local regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex details to various audiences.
• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields (MBA/CFA/FRM is a plus).
